Q: My cartridge is leaking. What has caused this to happen and what can I do about it?

A: If you have received a cartridge that is leaking, it is probibly due to either the mishandling by the shipping company and/or the air pressure from airplanes which may cause the cartridges to leak. If your cartridge is leaking please do not try cleaning it up and inserting it in your printer. Email our customer service department at customer_service@lmcomp.com and request a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) to return your leaking cartridge and receive a new cartridge. Include your full name, the order number, and the leaky product you would like to be replaced for reference.



Q: My color cartridge is missing a color. It only prints in two of the colors and is very faint. How do I get it to work correctly?

A: Because the cartridge may have laid on one side during shipping and/or storage, the colors could have mixed and the print head could have dried out, not allowing a certain color to come out. This happens with both brand new and remanufactured cartridges fairly frequently. The first thing to do is try printing 6-8 pages using all the colors. This may allow the missing color(s) to come out.

If that does not work, we recommend the wet paper towel trick which seems to help most of the time. Follow these steps:

Take the cartridge out of the printer. Place two paper towels on top of each other and fold them in half together and fold them again in half so you have a thick square piece. Now slightly dampen one side of the paper towel, keeping the other side dry. Hold the cartridge with the print head facing down and dab it onto the wet portion of the paper towel using just a little force, for a second or two. Now dab the cartridge onto the dry portion of the paper towel. Repeat steps 4 and 5 about 6-7 times, ending with step 5. If you have a tri-color cartridge you should see a line of cyan, magenta, and yellow on the paper towel. Now place cartridge back in the printer and print a test page. If the above steps don't work, please E-Mail us a request to return the product for a replacement.

Q: My cartridge just won't work. I have tried everything and it just will not print anything at all. My cartridge is the correct part number. What do I do?.

A: First make sure the protective plastic cover is taken off the print head. If you have taken it off and it is still not working, it is possible that you received a defective cartridge. Although we put our cartridges through strict quality control, testing them several times each and throwing any with the slightest imperfection out, there is still a small possibility that the cartridge was damaged during the shipping process. Please refer back to our return policy page for instructions on returning the product for a replacement.

Q: You sent me the wrong cartridge. What do I do?

A: If we sent you the wrong cartridge and you would like to receive the correct one, email our customer service department at customer_service@lmcomp.com and request a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) to return the incorrect cartridge and receive the correct one. Include your full name, order invoice number, and product you would like to exchange for reference.
